Step 1: Clean your band and apply some heat. Please return to the previous page for tips on cleaning your MagicBand, and applying some heat to aid in application and ensure the best adhesion possible.
Step 2: Peel one half decal piece from the backing paper, and begin applying your decal in the center of your MagicBand 2.0, directly adjacent to the opening where the Disney Icon disc is located. Leave those side pieces loose for now while you position the decal on the band.
Step 3: Pull gently but firmly downward, centering your decal as you go. Your vinyl is flexible and a bit stretchy, but take care not to stretch too much or the tail of your decal will extend beyond the end of the MagicBand. Rub rub rub firmly all over the decal to ensure proper adhesion.
Step 4: Now that the main portion of the decal is in place, you can position those center pieces. Slide your thumb around the curve of the Icon opening to position each side. You can carefully lift these ends and reposition if you don’t get it quite right the first time.
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 through 4 to apply the second half of your decal. The tail end pieces will overlap a few millimeters to give the illusion of a one-piece decal.
Icon covers are super easy to apply! At just 50 cents each, these cute little oval decals are a super affordable way to jazz up a MagicBand 2, or to be used on just the Icon Disc alone in a MagicKeeper accessory keychain.
Icon covers from My Fantasy Bands are slightly smaller than the opening in the MagicBand 2.0, so you have a little wiggle room in applying them straight. Also, this skips the necessity of removing your Icon disc from your MagicBand 2 or MagicKeeper just to apply a decal.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Remove your Icon cover from the backing paper.
- Carefully position over your MagicBand icon disc. You can try a few times to get it nice and centered.
- Rub all over to ensure proper adhesion.
GLITTER Icon Covers apply in the same manner, with the addition of a removable clear transfer tape. Glitter vinyl is pretty sticky on the back, so line up your Glitter Icon Cover carefully. You may not have a second shot at it! Rub all over, then lift and remove the clear transfer tape.
